The feature, part of new travel tools, launches on the Amex iOS app September 18, 2025, with Android following weeks later. Users can access it via Account → Settings → Try New Features, as detailed in the official press release.
Each stamp is a valueless ERC-721 token minted on Base, Coinbase’s Ethereum Layer-2 network, designed as a commemorative keepsake rather than a tradable asset. Fireblocks supports this with Wallet-as-a-Service infrastructure, ensuring a seamless experience without requiring users to manage crypto wallets. The stamps, visible on OpenSea, feature country-themed artwork but are non-transferable, focusing on memory-keeping over market speculation.
