01 — Mission
Our Mission
FintechMode exists to make sense of the fast-moving world of financial technology, cryptocurrency, and digital finance. Our goal is to publish accurate, timely, and contextually rich reporting that helps our readers — from retail investors and developers to founders and finance professionals — navigate one of the most consequential sectors of the modern economy.
We hold ourselves to four core editorial principles:
Accuracy First
Every factual claim is verified before publication. We don't race for speed at the cost of correctness.
Timeliness
Markets and regulation move fast. We provide context-rich reporting while stories are still actionable.
Independence
Our editorial decisions are insulated from commercial and advertising pressures at all times.
Transparency
Sponsored content, affiliate relationships, and corrections are always clearly disclosed to readers.
02 — Independence
Editorial Independence
FintechMode maintains a strict separation between its editorial operations and its commercial activities. Advertisers, sponsors, and business partners have no influence over the topics we cover, the sources we quote, the conclusions we draw, or the prominence we give to any story.
Editorial decisions — including which stories to pursue, how to frame them, and how prominently to feature them — are made exclusively by our editorial team. No external party may request, purchase, or negotiate editorial coverage.
Important: Purchasing advertising, issuing a press release, or having a commercial relationship with FintechMode does not entitle any company or individual to favourable editorial treatment, review scores, or coverage of any kind.
03 — Standards
Content Standards & Accuracy
All editorial content published on FintechMode is subject to the following standards before it goes live:
1
Fact-checking
Statistical claims, figures, dates, and attributions are cross-referenced with primary sources — company filings, regulatory announcements, on-chain data, or direct statements — before publication.
2
Editorial review
All articles pass through at least one editorial review prior to publication to assess accuracy, fairness, clarity, and potential conflicts of interest.
3
Source quality
We prioritise primary sources — original data, official statements, court documents, regulatory filings, and direct interviews — over secondary or aggregated reporting.
4
Fairness & balance
Where a story makes a significant claim about a person, company, or project, we endeavour to seek a response before publication and include it in the article.
5
Headlines
Headlines must accurately reflect the content of the article. We do not use misleading, sensationalised, or clickbait headlines.
Our coverage spans the following topic areas:

04 — Sourcing
Sources & Attribution
FintechMode names sources wherever possible and appropriate. When a source requests anonymity, we assess whether the information is significant enough to publish without attribution, whether the anonymity request is reasonable, and whether we can corroborate the information independently. Anonymous sourcing is a last resort, not a default.
We link to primary sources — original research, official announcements, regulatory filings, and data providers — wherever practical so readers can evaluate the evidence themselves. Where data is sourced from a third-party platform or research report, that source is named in the article.
We distinguish clearly between news reporting, analysis, opinion, and press releases. Content that represents a contributor's personal view is labelled accordingly and does not represent the editorial position of FintechMode.
06 — Conflicts of Interest
Conflicts of Interest
FintechMode requires all staff writers and regular contributors to disclose any financial interests, personal relationships, or other associations that could create a real or perceived conflict of interest when covering a company, project, or asset. Where a conflict exists, the relevant writer will either recuse themselves or clearly disclose the relationship at the top of the article.
Contributors who hold positions in cryptocurrencies or digital assets must disclose this when writing about the relevant asset or related projects. We do not allow writers to hold positions in assets they are actively covering without prior disclosure and editorial approval.
FintechMode does not accept free products, services, or gifts in exchange for coverage or favourable reviews. Where review products or event access are provided by a third party, this is disclosed within the relevant article.
07 — Corrections
Corrections & Updates Policy
When errors are identified — whether by readers, sources, or our own team — we correct them promptly and transparently.
1
Minor corrections
Small factual errors are corrected in the article body, with a brief correction note appended at the bottom explaining what changed and when.
2
Significant errors
Material errors are corrected and a clearly visible correction notice is added, specifying the nature of the error and the correction made.
3
Retractions
In rare cases where an article is fundamentally flawed or based on false information, it may be retracted. A retraction notice replaces the article body and explains the reason for removal.
4
Updates
Developing stories are updated as new information emerges. Updates are date-stamped and noted at the top of the article.
We do not silently alter articles after publication. All material changes are disclosed to readers.
08 — AI Content
AI-Assisted Content
FintechMode may use AI-assisted writing tools to support the research and drafting process. However, all published content — whether or not AI tools were used — must meet the same editorial standards as any other article. AI-generated text is reviewed, fact-checked, and edited by a human editor before publication.
AI tools are never used as the sole or primary source of factual information. Any claim generated by an AI tool must be independently verified against a primary source before appearing in published content.
Where AI tools have materially contributed to an article, this may be noted in the byline or author note. FintechMode does not publish fully automated content without human editorial oversight.
